Honors and Affiliations

Karla graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in psychology and spent five years in New York City studying acting and theatre. After working in Philanthropy with several private foundations in Los Angeles, which provided funding to nonprofit organizations serving the Los Angeles area, Karla found her way to law school at the University of San Diego School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor in 2000. Now, she enjoys defending municipalities against dangerous condition and employment claims, as well as guiding clients through the litigation process.
