Rob practices in the fields of complex litigation, environmental law, construction law, regulatory law, and toxic tort litigation.
Rob has over 35 years of litigation and trial experience covering a wide range of complex matters in federal, state and appellate courts in California, Illinois, and North Carolina. In addition to working at law firms ranging from hundreds of attorneys to his own solo practice, Rob has worked as in-house counsel, mainly focused on environmental law, as well as outside general counsel to a regional demolition firm. Rob has served as a consultant to attorneys and firms as a resource in major litigation. Rob is also experienced in the continuously developing fields of electronic discovery and the application of AI to the practice of law.
Key results included successfully thwarting catastrophic consequences, including seven-figure environmental liability, cascading business setbacks in the wake of the 2008-2009 market collapse, alleged regulatory violations, officer and director culpability, fraud claims improperly directed at individual employees, and real estate partnership failures. In all matters, Rob takes pride in counseling clients honestly as to the best overall course of action, whether it be to seek settlement or proceed to trial.
